FAQs: Your Path to Healing, Step by Step
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but I’m here to make the process as smooth, supportive, and stress-free as possible. If you still have questions after browsing my website, we can go over anything you need during our consultation call.
Here’s what to expect working together:
Book Your Consultation with Rebecca
⁎ The first step is scheduling a free, no obligation 20-minute phone consultation. This gives us a chance to talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, answer any questions, and see if we’re a good fit.
⁎ After you request a consultation, I’ll send you a quick, pre-consultation questionnaire via email. This helps us make the most of our time during the call and ensures that our conversation is tailored to your needs.
Moving Forward
⁎ If we decide to move forward after your consultation, I’ll send you intake documents and initial questionnaires through a secure client portal in SimplePractice, my HIPAA-compliant electronic health record system.
⁎ Everything is completed online, so you can fill out your paperwork from the comfort of your home or office, without the hassle of printing or scanning documents.
Your First Sessions & The Therapy Process with Rebecca
⁎ Initial Sessions: Your intake forms and questionnaires will help guide our first session, where we’ll begin to explore your experiences, challenges, and therapy goals.
⁎ A Personalized Approach: Together, we’ll create a customized plan based on your specific needs and what you hope to get out of therapy.
⁎ Ongoing Support & Progress Tracking: Throughout our work together, I’ll periodically check in with symptom-based questionnaires and reflections to ensure therapy is moving in the right direction for you.
⁎ Session Frequency: We’ll typically meet weekly in the beginning. As you start reaching your therapy goals, we’ll shift to biweekly sessions for 1-2 months before transitioning toward the completion of therapy.
I know you’re looking for relief-you want to feel better, to breathe easier, and to finally feel like yourself again.
Healing takes time, but therapy won’t last longer than it needs to for you.
It’s important that we’re the right fit for your journey. Sometimes we don’t know that until after those first few sessions, sometimes we know it on the consultation call.
Therapy is often a vulnerable space for deep feeling women, and you deserve to feel safe, supported, and comfortable. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, working in alignment with your nervous system so that the process feels healing, not overwhelming.
This is your space-a place where you set your own goals and where you’re free to grow and evolve. Your goals won’t be rigid, because life keeps moving, and so will we. As things shift, we’ll adjust together, making space for whatever you need in the moment.
