Therapy for Women in Austin and San Antonio, Texas
Let’s talk next steps!
what to expect
I try to make it as as easy as possible to start therapy with me but if you still have questions after browsing through the website, you can ask any other questions during the consult call.
Book a complimentary consultation.
The first step is scheduling a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation. This will give us an opportunity to discuss a little bit about what brings you to therapy and see if we are a good fit for one another. After you reach out for a consult, I’ll send you a brief questionnaire that will need to be completed prior to our consult call.
Next step in the process.
If we decide to move forward together after the consult call, I’ll send you the intake documents through the client portal system I use. Everything can be completed electronically from the comfort of your home and/or office. The intake paperwork is a lengthy process and I do let all clients know this, as it’s important for me to gather important information about you.
After our first few sessions.
We are deciding how we work together and feel together after our first few sessions together, deciding on your goals, and the best therapies that will work for what brings you to therapy. We will meet weekly, until you feel like you are near completion of your personal therapy goals. Once you’re at that point, we’ll discuss a different cadence of sessions.
The goal is for you to feel better but we have to work at a pace that is right for your nervous system.
I know you want immediate relief and I want that for you, too, but it can take time to feel better.

Questions

You might be asking about this because you want relief from what you’re going through which is so very natural. The time it takes in therapy to feel better varies. Clients who work with me start therapy on a weekly basis, then taper to biweekly sessions for maybe one to two more months once they start meeting their goals, and finally once more a month later to check in to see that all personal goals are met.
The total duration of therapy varies from client to client. It can’t be predicted when clients will begin to feel relief because there are different variables involved in each individual’s unique experience(s).
