Therapist for Women
Austin, TX
Online Trauma Therapist for Women in Austin, Texas
I’m Rebecca and I help sensitive women stop feeling so overwhelmed, anxious, and living life at a frenzied pace.
I help women feel empowered to make changes where life feels manageable again.
Our Sessions Are Focused On You
Sessions will give you the space to step away from the noise of the world. In feeling safe and comfortable, you’ll be able to explore your thoughts and feel what you need to feel.
It’s important you have the space where you can just be yourself and focus on setting goals in therapy that are yours (not the therapist’s) and reaching them. There isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to counseling. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.
As a therapist, I embrace the following philosophies and believe…
- You deserve to feel better.
- When we take care of ourselves, we can heal.
- Transformation can happen when we ask for help.
- Therapy should address the person as a whole – mind, body, and spirit.
- If we continue to keep working and believing in ourselves, we can be in a completely different space sooner than we think.
My Journey To Becoming A Therapist
I’m also a sensitive, empathetic woman like you. I’ve been through both wonderful and difficult life experiences that have shaped who I am and how I’m able to help.
My life experiences are what lead me to become the therapist I am today.
Helping Women Energizes Me
Being a therapist is inspiring. I love helping women become healthier and empowered, and watching their lives flourish! The most rewarding part about being a therapist is seeing a person walk away lighter, freer, and excited about their life!
I’m committed to empowering you to make changes and guiding you to where life feels manageable again.
I bring supportive and encouraging energy to sessions.
And, have a natural pull to…
- Help you uncover what’s under the surface.
- Inspire hope for getting better.
- Accept you for who you are and where you are in your current life circumstances.
- Help you heal from the past and successfully manage the present.
What will therapy be like?
Therapy is personal and as a therapist for sensitive women, I want you to feel like therapy is a safe space for you.
Therapy is a place for you to gain a sense of control over the anxiety and overwhelm. It’s a place where you get to get back a sense of calm and have joy again in your life.
In the past, clients have said they feel heard and understood which has helped them start to heal.
They’ve also shared they find my approach to be warm and benefit from the results they experience in therapy.
I sprinkle humor into sessions (when appropriate!) and am honest, yet gentle in my approach. You’ll always have a say in therapy but I know when clients just need me to step in. I strongly support my clients in their work, and make no room for judgment in sessions. I’m guessing you’ve been judging yourself enough already.
Women who’ve had success with me in therapy are those who know there isn’t one specific therapy, coping skill, or medication that will be a “cure.” They’re willing to get to the root of what’s going on.

How long does therapy take?
It’s natural to want relief now. Why wouldn’t you? We can all search the internet for coping skills but therapy with me isn’t just about coping skills. They have their place and time but my approach to therapy is at a deeper level. I’d rather you get to the heart of things now, so this won’t constantly return.

The time therapy takes depends on what brings you here. As with anything we have to work hard for, it can take time but that doesn’t mean it will take forever.
When clients start therapy, they start with weekly sessions. Once they start to feel better and are nearly finished with their goals they set, they move to biweekly sessions for 1-2 months, and then we meet a month later to check in.
Who I may not be the best fit for…
If you’re seeking therapy for your child or teen, couples/marital counseling, or dealing with impending separation and/or divorce, I’m not specialized in these areas. I’m also unable to provide counseling services to those struggling with an eating disorder or active addiction.
I’m someone who values diversity, is culturally sensitive, and inclusive. If you feel this conflicts with your own values, I’m probably not the best fit for you.
